1. Ownership of Content

When you upload or publish any content on HireMyProfile — including portfolio items, service descriptions, proposals, gig images, profile information, or project files — you confirm that:

• You are the original creator or hold a valid license to use and share the content.
• The content does not infringe on any third-party copyright, trademark, or intellectual property right.
• You grant HireMyProfile a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display the content on the platform solely for the purpose of providing our services.
• You retain full ownership of your original work unless a separate agreement (such as a signed contract with a buyer) explicitly transfers those rights.

2. Prohibited Content

The following types of content are strictly prohibited on HireMyProfile:

• Copying or reproducing another person's work without permission and presenting it as your own.
• Uploading stock images, design assets, code libraries, or written content without a valid license.
• Using brand logos, trademarks, or copyrighted materials in proposals or portfolios without authorization.
• Submitting deliverables to buyers that contain unlicensed third-party content.
• Scraping, reproducing, or redistributing any content from HireMyProfile without prior written permission.

3. Work-for-Hire and Deliverables

When a freelancer or team completes work for a buyer through HireMyProfile, the following rules apply:

• Ownership of the final deliverable is governed by the contract agreed between the buyer and the freelancer or team.
• Unless the contract explicitly states a full transfer of intellectual property rights, the freelancer retains copyright over the work.
• Buyers are advised to include clear IP transfer clauses in their contracts when full ownership is required.
• HireMyProfile is not a party to these agreements and does not automatically transfer copyright on behalf of either party.
• Disputes over deliverable ownership should be resolved through the platform's dispute resolution process.

4. PartnerMatch and Business Content

Users who post co-founder opportunities, investor profiles, franchise listings, or strategic partner content on PartnerMatch confirm that:

• All business descriptions, pitch materials, and documents shared are their own original work or used with permission.
• Confidential information shared under NDA is protected and must not be reproduced or distributed outside the platform.
• Business plans, financial projections, and brand assets uploaded to deal rooms remain the property of the uploading party.
• HireMyProfile does not claim ownership over any business content shared through PartnerMatch.

5. Reporting a Copyright Infringement

If you believe that content on HireMyProfile infringes your copyright, please contact our support team with the following information:

• Your full name and contact email address.
• A clear description of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed.
• The exact URL(s) on HireMyProfile where the infringing content appears.
• Proof of ownership or authorization — such as an original file, registration certificate, or license agreement.
• A statement confirming that the information provided is accurate and that you are the rights holder or are authorized to act on their behalf.

6. Our Response Process

Upon receiving a valid copyright complaint, HireMyProfile will take the following steps:

• Acknowledge receipt of the complaint within 3 business days.
• Review the claim and contact the user who posted the content in question.
• Remove or restrict access to the content if the claim is found to be valid.
• Notify the content owner of the takedown and provide an opportunity to submit a counter-notice.
• Reinstate content if a valid counter-notice is received and the dispute is resolved in the uploader's favour.

7. Repeat Infringers

HireMyProfile operates a strict repeat infringer policy. Users who repeatedly upload infringing content may have their accounts suspended or permanently terminated. We take intellectual property rights seriously and will cooperate with rights holders and legal authorities where required by law.

8. HireMyProfile Platform Content

All content created by HireMyProfile — including the website design, logo, written content, feature descriptions, marketing materials, and platform code — is the exclusive property of HireMyProfile and is protected by applicable copyright law. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our platform content without prior written consent from HireMyProfile.

9. Updates to This Policy

This Copyright Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in law, platform features, or community standards. Continued use of HireMyProfile after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. Last reviewed: June 2026.
